Suspicious package sent to foreign ministry was harmless
A package that arrived by mail at the Greek Foreign Ministry on Friday and was deemed suspicious contained an electronic blood pressure monitor, according to police sources cited by state-run news agency ANA-MPA.
The parcel raised the alarm at the ministry which was evacuated by police earlier in the day.
Foreign ministry evacuated due to suspicious package
Greek police evacuated the Foreign Ministry in central Athens on Friday after a suspicious package arrived through the mail, sources said.
A bomb disposal unit was on its way to check the parcel.
About 70 employees were waiting outside the ministry.
Fake bomb planted outside Athens court complex
A suspicious package that was spotted in the Evelpidon Street court complex in downtown Athens on Friday turned out morning to be crude replica of an explosive device.
Police cordoned off the area and bomb squad experts were called in when the brown paper parcel was spotted outside a door used mainly by lawyers.

Old grenades found in Thessaloniki apartment
Officers of the police bomb disposal unit in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, removed five old hand grenades found in an apartment after its former occupant, an elderly man, died.
The grenades were discovered by the man's brother during a visit to the apartment and he notified authorities.

The Greek Police (ELAS) on Monday closed the Athens metro stations Aegaleo and Agia Marina after receiving telephone calls warning that explosive devices had been placed at both stations.
