The Bulgarian Army will Assist the Interior Ministry in Guarding the State Border

In fulfillment of the mission of the Armed Forces "Contribution to National Security in Peacetime" from 20.00 on November 1, 2021 over 350 servicemen with more than 40 units of equipment from the Land Forces provide assistance to the Ministry of Interior for the protection of Bulgarians - the Greek and the Bulgarian-Turkish state border.

43 Illegal Migrants from Afghanistan Caught Crossing the Bulgarian-Turkish Border

Chirpan police caught 43 illegal migrants from Afghanistan traveling on the Trakia highway in a minibus with Burgas registration this morning.

The Chirpan police department received a signal from the Elhovo border police for a minibus transporting illegal migrants across the Bulgarian-Turkish border.

Bulgarian caretaker Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov told Parliament that migration pressure on the country is increasing. Bulgaria: Four Illegal Migrants Found in TIR at Lesovo Border Checkpoint

Border guards found four illegal migrants hiding in TIR truck at the Lesovo Checkpoint, the Customs Agency reported. Yesterday a TIR track transporting furniture arrived at the point of entry into Bulgaria.  During the inspection of the truck, border police determined that the seal rope had been cut.
