Russian Chapel ceremony marks first Slovenia-Russia Friendship Day
Kranjska Gora – The annual ceremony in memory of Russian POWs who perished building the Vršič pass during the First World War will be held at the Russian Chapel below Vršič mountain pass on Saturday. The first Slovenia-Russia Friendship Day will be also celebrated on the occasion.
President Pahor holds talks on ways to revive social dialogue
Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor received on Thursday chair of the Economic and Social Council Mitja Gorenšček to talk about reviving social dialogue. On the latter’s initiative, Pahor will host in the second half of August an informal talk with representatives of the government, employers and trade unions to look for ways to continue the dialogue.

Pahor discusses plastic-free world with Rotary International head
Ljubljana – President Borut Pahor received Rotary International president Holger Knaack in Ljubljana on Monday. The pair discussed efforts for a plastic-free world.
