Bulgaria with a Record 13 Medals from the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship

Bulgarian athletes completely dominated and won a record 13 medals at the 39th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku. Boryana Kaleyn, Stiliyana Nikolova, Eva Brezalieva and the ensembles for women and girls won five gold, five silver and three bronze medals. Thus, Bulgaria finished in first place in the medal ranking, ahead of Italy and Israel.

Russia Bulgaria Shine in Qualification at FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships

The International Gymnastics Federation Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships returned to Bulgaria after 31 years and competition got underway in the ball and hoop disciplines.

The qualification process is a two day event, with half the gymnasts beginning with the hoop event and half performing with the ball.

All-Around Bronze For Gymnast Neviana Vladinova in Baku World Cup

Neviana Vladinova of Bulgaria won the bronze in the all-around at the rhythmic gymnastics World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan. With a total score of 68.400 she is third. Vladinova received the highest score for her clubs routine - 17.700, BNR reported.

The gold went to Arina Averina, Russia, and the silver - to another Russian, Aleksandra Soldatova.
