Boryana Kaleyn secured victory and Stiliana Nikolova clinched second place in the women's all-around competition at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup held in Sofia.

Bulgarian athletes completely dominated and won a record 13 medals at the 39th European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Baku. Boryana Kaleyn, Stiliyana Nikolova, Eva Brezalieva and the ensembles for women and girls won five gold, five silver and three bronze medals. Thus, Bulgaria finished in first place in the medal ranking, ahead of Italy and Israel.

The Bulgarian women's rhythmic gymnastics team won a gold medal in the senior group 5 balls final of the Varna 2021 European Championships in Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Bulgarian rhythmic gymnastics has always been among the sports that have brought us a lot of joy, and our representatives are not accidentally called "golden", because despite the change of generations, they always succeed in winning awards with a lot of work and dedication.

The International Gymnastics Federation Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships returned to Bulgaria after 31 years and competition got underway in the ball and hoop disciplines.

The qualification process is a two day event, with half the gymnasts beginning with the hoop event and half performing with the ball.

Neviana Vladinova won her 4th gold medal at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup in Sofia, this time at the ribbon routine, BNR reported.

She earned  17.400 points. Katsiaryna Halkina (Belarus) placed second with 17.100 points, followed by Bulgarian Katrin Taseva who won bronze medal.

Neviana Vladinova has won the gold medal in the ribbon finals at the World Cup in Rhytmic Gymnastics in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The Bulgarian contestant reached the bronze in the ball finals and ranked fourth in the hoop and clubs.  

Neviana Vladinova of Bulgaria won the bronze in the all-around at the rhythmic gymnastics World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan. With a total score of 68.400 she is third. Vladinova received the highest score for her clubs routine - 17.700, BNR reported.

The gold went to Arina Averina, Russia, and the silver - to another Russian, Aleksandra Soldatova.

The Bulgarian National Rhythmic Gymnastics Ensemble has triumphed at the World Cup at Tashkent, Uzbekistan, winning seven medals, BNR reported.

The ensemble won the gold in the final with three balls and two ropes, leaving behind Ukraine and Russia.

From 5th to 7th May Sofia, Bulgaria is one of the seven stopover cities where Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup 2017 is going to be held.

The difference this year is that the FIG World Cup circuit in Rhythmic Gymnastics includes four World Cup events and four World Challenge Cup events.
