Belgrade Court Increases Bosnian Serb Soldier’s War Crime Sentence

Belgrade Appeals Court has increased the sentence handed down to former Bosnian Serb soldier Milan Dragisic from four to five years in prison for one killing and two attempted killings of civilians in the town of Bosanski Petrovac in north-western Bosnia and Herzegovina on September 20, 1992.

Bosnian Serb Ex-Soldier Admits Killing Civilian as Retrial Begins

Former Bosnian Serb Army soldier Milan Dragisic said he killed one civilian in Bosanski Petrovac in September 1992 as his retrial for wartime crimes began at Belgrade Higher Court on Tuesday.

Dragisic is also accused of killing two other people and attempting to kill three more, but he denied committing the other crimes.

Bosnian Army Ex-Commander Atif Dudakovic Goes on Trial

The trial of Atif Dudakovic opened on Monday at the Bosnian state court, with the former commander and 16 Bosnian Army soldiers accused of participating in a joint criminal enterprise aimed at removing the Serb population from the Bosanski Petrovac, Kljuc, Bosanska Krupa and Sanski Most areas during the Bosnian war.
