COVID-19 in Bulgaria: Incidence in the Sofia District Fell below 1,000 per 100,000

The incidence of coronavirus in Sofia district is 916 per 100,000 people in all 22 municipalities. "This indicator determines that Sofia region is in the second stage of the spread of the epidemic," Sofia regional governor Ivan Ivanov was quoted as saying by BTA.

PM Borissov: Bulgaria Has Not Given up on Schengen

New Investments Will Provide about 100 New Jobs in Sofia-Bozhurishte Economic Zone

Three final and one preliminary contract with investors were signed in the last month by "National Company of Industrial Zones" EAD for Sofia-Bozhurishte Economic Zone. The projects are of LIM Technics Ltd, Zora Logistics MMC, AIKO EOOD and RGS Invest. Their value is about BGN 52 million, and the new jobs will be close to 100.

Deputy PM Tomislav Donchev: Bulgaria Needs at least Eight New Industrial Zones

Bulgaria needs more industrial zones in the south and in the north, Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev told Prime Minister Boyko Borissov yesterday, as they both traveled to the industrial zone near Bozhurishte. According to him, Bulgaria needs 4-5 new zones in the north and up to 3 in the south. 

Prime Minister Borisov Inspected the Highway to Dragoman

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov announced in a video on Facebook that he is going to inspect the highway near Dragoman together with Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov and Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev.

The section is part of the new highway "Europe", which will connect Sofia with the border crossing "Kalotina".

JYSK Opens 5 New Stores in Bulgaria by the End of August

Danish furniture and household goods chain JYSK plans to open five new stores on the Bulgarian market by the end of August.

Meanwhile, the company's distribution base in the Bozhurishte area, where investments amount to 100 million euros, must reach its full capacity in the autumn of this year. There are yet to be opened 100 more jobs.

JYSK Opens 300 New Jobs and at Least 3 Stores in Bulgaria

Danish furniture chain JYSK achieved 68.6% growth in Bulgaria's turnover for the financial year 2017/2018, reaching sales of BGN 43.3 million, reported moneybg.

Profit before tax for the 12 months to end of September increases by impressive 354% to 1.27 million. Globally, the turnover reached € 3.58 billion and the pre-tax profit was € 474 million.

Three Companies Plan BGN 36 Million Investment and 400 Workplaces in Bulgaria

Three companies - "Ber-Hella Thermocontrol", "Axidia" and "Turbo Garant" will invest over BGN 36 mln and will open nearly 400 jobs in Bulgaria. They received investment certificates under the Investor Encouragement Act by Emil Karanikolov, Minister of Economy, announced the Ministry of Economy.
