President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has outlined Turkey's priority in Ukraine, as the immediate evacuation of civilians from war-torn Mariupol, along with ending the war, informing that he will have a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week.

Senior Turkish officials held meetings in West Jerusalem on Feb. 17 ahead of a rare visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog to Turkey, officials said.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog will pay a visit to Turkey upon the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on March 9 and 10 as part of an ongoing joint effort to normalize relations between the two countries, Turkish media reported on Feb. 15.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will visit Ukraine in the coming weeks, presidential spokesman Ibrahim Kalin was quoted as saying by state-run TRT Haber.

Kalin spoke to the Circle Foundation about the possible impact of the Russia-Ukraine crisis on Europe and NATO.

Turkish presidential spokesperson İbrahim Kalın and U..S National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan exchanged views on bilateral relations and regional issues during a telephone call on Nov. 19. 

The two officials spoke about political and economic relations, cooperation in defense, global and regional matters, the Turkish Presidency said in a statement.

Turkey's first choice is to be in the U.S. F-35 fighter jet program, and its exclusion from the program due to CAATSA sanctions is an unfair and unlawful practice, the country's presidential spokesperson said on Nov. 4.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived early on Oct. 30 in Rome to attend the 16th G20 summit. 

Erdoğan was welcomed at the Fiumicino-Leonardo da Vinci International Airport by Ankara's Ambassador to Rome Ömer Gucuk and Vatican Ambassador Lutfullah Göktaş, as well as the staff of the Rome and Vatican embassies.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Russia to meet his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Sept. 29. 

Erdogan has been received by Putin at his official residence in the resort town of Sochi.

Senior Turkish and U.S. officials on July 16 spoke over the phone about bilateral ties and various regional issues, said a statement by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey.

Turkey's presidential spokesman İbrahim Kalın on July 2 said the European Union, is "weak" and " without a plan."

Speaking to German newspaper FAZ, Kalın said the EU lacks the vision to shape relations with Turkey.

"I wonder why we are not making progress anywhere. It can't just be due to Turkey," Kalın told reporters.
