Super-rich Russians, Chinese and Saudis have secured unrestricted access to the EU via a Maltese cash-for-passports scheme that requires them to spend less than three weeks in the country, a leak from a passport brokerage has revealed.

Greek authorities started accepting passports by travelers from North Macedonia on Thursday which carry a stamp in Macedonian, English and French that reads "this passport is property of the Republic of North Macedonia," the neighbouring country's MIA news agency reported.

The British government assured that most EU citizens currently staying in the country would be able to stay after Brexit in 2019, Reuters reported.

Britons living all around the world are applying for Irish passports to "safeguard their positions" after Brexit, the country's UK ambassador has revealed, reported The Independent. 

Daniel Mulhall said many of a record 500,000 applications in the first half of 2017 had come from British people who fear losing their rights to live and work in the EU after withdrawal.
