A comedy show about the behind-the-scenes reality of a high-end restaurant and two series based on the best-selling Slovenian crime novels were the most watched content on Slovenian cable TV last year, with ratings rivalling foreign content.

The Slovenian public broadcaster is caught up in a tug-of-war between the government and the management appointed by its predecessor that has escalated in recent days amid a legal conundrum.

Live streaming is proving itself a successful emerging technology across the world right now, and some predict the industry could grow to a global value of .2 billion by 2027. Streamers and streaming fans have risen dramatically since Facebook made it mainstream in 2017, but existed at online casinos years before this.
