Public Power Corporation (PPC) on Wednesday announced the completion of the acquisition of the Kotsovolos chain of electrical and electronic goods from Currys Plc through which it will significantly accelerate its transformation into an integrated provider of products and services in the retail market.

The Special Telecommunications Service (STS) has implemented an advanced mobile location (AML) technology solution that allows geographic tracking of calls made to the 112 emergency line, exclusively during the emergency call. "The solution was implemented by the Special Telecommunications Service (STS) jointly with mobile communications operators and in partnership with Google and Apple.

The head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Raed Arafat, presented on Friday evening a milestone report that provides for 14 measures for the reorganization of the 112 emergency response service.

Senior official with the Interior Ministry (MAI) Raed Arafat said on Wednesday that he presented to the Prime Minister Viorica Dancila a report on the 112 emergency call service drawn up by an inter-ministerial committee that comprises 14 short, medium and long-term measures to be implemented.
