Hungarian embassy: Measures won't affect border crossings

The Hungarian embassy says Budapest's measures for reduction of illegal migrations do not affect the functioning of border crossings between the two countries.

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Hungarian diplomatic mission to Serbia, "plans are being made for opening new crossings."

Hungary Looking into Prague-Varna Bus Bomb Incident

Hungarian investigators have found a highly inflammable substance in a bag purportedly containing a homemade bomb which was found on a bus traveling from Prague to Varna.

The bus had a majority of Bulgarian passengers and a Bulgarian driver. The suspicious package was found while the vehicle had stopped in Budapest. No-one was injured.

Railway feasibility studies to be finalized by April 15

BUDAPEST - Delegations of Serbia and Hungary agreed in Budapest Thursday to finalize feasibility studies for an overhaul of the Belgrade-Budapest railway by April 15.

State Secretary in the Serbian Ministry of Transport Dejan Trifunovic told Tanjug that the studies would then be delivered to the Chinese side, who would complete it by June 30.

Bulgaria's SOFIX Second Best Performing Index in CEE in March

After Bulgaria's leading blue-chip index SOFIX returned to a growth path in March, it has been moving up in the rankings of Central and Eastern Europe.

According to calculations of Bulgarian business news portal, based on Bloomberg data, SOFIX moved to second place among the top-performing indices in the region in March.
