Head of small businesses' umbrella organisation: 2019 state budget fragile, built on chimerical commitment appropriations

Government Allocates BGN 150 Million for Road Network Maintenance

Sofia. The government has allocated BGN 150 million as additional spending through the budget of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works for the repair of nearly 480 km of the national road network, the government press office said. The money will be provided through cost or transfer restructuring within the state budget for 2018.

Tax revenues underperformed in the first half

The course of tax revenues in the first half of the year is a cause for concern at the Finance Ministry, as they came in 25 million euros below the target set for the January-June period, according to the latest official data.

Restricted spending improved the budget picture, which showed a primary surplus of 635 million euros against 1.93 billion in the same period last year.

Parliament passes 2017 budget bill

BELGRADE - The Serbian parliament has passed the 2017 budget bill, which envisions total revenues of 1,092 bln dinars and expenditures of 1,161 bln dinars.

A hundred and fifty-three MPs voted for the bill on Saturday, 26 voted against, while three abstained.

The total budget expenditures will be 69.1 bln dinars higher than the revenues, creating a deficit of 1.7 pct of GDP.
