Households spend most on food, shows survey
The share of food and non-alcoholic beverages in households' overall expenditure was 22.8 percent, followed by housing and rent at 22.4 percent last year, a survey by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has shown.
Transport expenditure was the third largest expenditure item, with a share of 21.3 percent, according to TÜİK's Household Budget Survey.

Finance Ministry: If there is No New Budget by June 10 - Bulgaria could only Spend as much as it Collects
If after June 10 there is no adopted budget for the year or a new extension of last year's budget, the state will only be able to spend as much as it collects. This becomes clear in the response of the Bulgarian Ministry of Finance after a question from the National Radio whether, in the worst case scenario, there will be funds for pensions and salaries in the public sector.
Parents cut back on other items for school expenses
Eight out of ten parents cut back on items such as eating out, entertainment and clothing in order to allocate resources for their children's school expenses in Türkiye, according to a survey conducted by Ipsos, a market research and consulting firm.

Turks pay most for housing: Poll
Housing expenses had the largest share in Turkish people's total budgets at 24.8 percent in 2014, followed by food and non-alcoholic drink expenditures at around 19.7 percent, according to the Household Budget Survey 2014, the results of which was released by the Turkish Statistics Agency (TÜ?K) on Nov. 17.

Sertic: Greatest savings in expenditures, subsidies
BELGRADE - Serbian Minister of Economy Zeljko Sertic stated on Monday that the Ministry's 2015 budget would be lower by RSD 20 billion, and added that the greatest savings will be ensured through expenditure reduction and lower subsidies, while lowest savings will be made in the investment sector.
PM Ponta: Difficult negotiations with EC, WB and IMF ahead, but balanced budget feasible
Premier Victor Ponta reiterated on Wednesday that the 2015 draft budget will be adopted at the December 10 Government meeting, arguing that a "balanced" budget formula can be reached for next year, given the growth of economy and budget revenues.
