The CEC announced the official data from the parliamentary elections for the 47th National Assembly.

The party of former caretaker ministers Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev "We Continue to Change" continues to lead in the results of the early parliamentary elections, which took place yesterday. This is shown by the CEC data with 75.69% of the protocols processed.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party registered with the CEC for both parliamentary and presidential elections. This does not mean that they will have their own presidential candidate.

"There are such people" will not support the BSP government. This decision of the party was reaffirmed by Toshko Yordanov at the meeting with the Bulgarian Socialist Party, held today.

Thus, there will be no regular cabinet with a third term.

Bulgaria will hold its third parliamentary election in just one year as parliament will be dismissed in mid-September and the president must schedule early elections in late October or early November.

At the same time, the country will also hold presidential elections, in which current President Rumen Radev is set to be the absolute favourite.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party will delay the return of the mandate to form a government at least until September 10th. This became clear after a briefing by the Socialists on Sunday.

The left argues for the need to adopt a budget update, which requires a functioning parliament. However, it must be dissolved if the National Assembly fails to form a government on its third attempt.
