A 3km long queue of cargo vehicles formed at the exit of Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint, while at Dunav Most - Vidin border checkpoint the queue was 2km, the press centre of Chief Directorate Border Police announced.

Bulgaria head's to a parliamentary election on March 26 amid a row over with Turkey over a new party representing Bulgaria's Turkish minority and protests aiming to prevent dual citizenship holders from Turkey casting their vote. 

The truck queue at the  Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint on the Bulgarian-Turkish border has reached 7 kilometers, the Bulgarian Border Police reported, quoted by BNR.

The trucks are waiting to exit the country. At Lesovo checkpoint, the queue is about a kilometer-long.

Bulgarian caretaker Interior Minister Plamen Uzunov has denied on Tuesday the claims that there was increased migration pressure on the Bulgarian-Turkish border, according to Bulgarian National Radio.

The ministry has been monitoring the situation on a daily basis and in case of alarming trends, it would boost forces at the border, it was reported.

Turkey urged Bulgaria on March 09, not to restrict political rights of minorities and to comply with the "rule-based" European system, in reference to a recent law legislated by the Bulgarian parliament that restricts the number of ballot boxes to be established in Turkey to 35, according to Hürriyet Daily News.

Before the early parliamentarian elections to be held on March 26 in Bulgaria, election campaigns have started causing tension between the two Turkish political parties there.
