Asking the German lower house to debate the eurozone's decision to give Greece a new credit lifeline could lead to market uncertainty, Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said on Friday.

The budget committee of Germany's Bundestag lower house of parliament will debate the latest compromise deal for Greece and the International Monetary Fund's role in the bailout next Wednesday, parliamentary sources told Reuters on Friday.

"This will be subject for discussion as a normal matter on Wednesday in the budget committee," a parliamentary official said.

A senior lawmaker from Germany's center-left Social Democrats (SPD) called on Friday for a full parliamentary debate on the eurozone's latest financing deal for Greece, challenging Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble who suggested such a debate was unnecessary.

BERLIN - President of the German Bundestag Norbert Lammert is to pay a visit to Belgrade on Wednesday to meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and speak in the Serbian parliament, several sources have confirmed to Tanjug.

The two-day visit has not as yet been officially announced and there is no specific information on the agenda of the upcoming discussions in Belgrade.

German Parliament (Bundestag) President Norbert Lammert, who is on a two-day visit, will on Thursday address the Serbian National Assembly.

​A German lawmaker, who was among the group of parliamentarians visiting German troops at the Turkish air base İncirlik after a ban was recently lifted, has said the visit paved the way for the German Parliament to vote to extend the deployment of nearly 240 German troops stationed at the base.

All eyes are on Wednesday’s debate in the German parliament on the 3rd Greek bailout plan worth 86bln Euros via the ESM. The discussion commenced at 10 in the morning and is expected to pass, but the interest will be focused on how many dissenters in Chancellor Angela Merkel’s party will vote against the party line.
