Bourgas, Bulgaria: First Written Evidence that the Roman Colony Deultum had a Port

Archaeologists from the Deultum-Debelt National Archaeological Reserve near Bulgaria's Burgas have discovered the first written evidence that the Roman colony Deultum had a port, BGNES reported.

The inscription was found on limestone sarcophagus, dating from the II-III century AD.

CPC Sealed Office of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association

The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) sealed the office of the Bulgarian Oil and Gas Association, the commission announced. This happened after a sudden on-site inspection. It was undertaken in the course of proceedings to establish possible infringements of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union in setting the prices of bulk automotive fuels.

A Code Orange warning of strong winds and rough seas has been issued for the coastal area of the region of Burgas, for the regions of Varna and Dobrich a Code Yellow in in place, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) said on its website.

354 COVID-19 Infected in Bulgaria

The total number of coronavirus infected in Bulgaria is 354, said the head of the National Operations Headquarters, Professor Ventsislav Mutafchiiski.

So far, 15 people have been cured, 8 people have died, with an average age of the dead - 66 years.

The most infected are in Sofia, where 13 cases were registered in the last 24 hours.

Bulgarian Detained with 10 kg of Heroin at Malko Tarnovo Border Checkpoint

A Bulgarian was arrested while trying to transport 10 kg of heroin across the country's border, the District Prosecutor's Office in Burgas announced.

The drug trafficker was detained at the Malko Turnovo border checkpoint on March 13th. The drug, distributed in 22 packages, was stashed in a car with which the man traveled from Turkey to Bulgaria.

Dozens of People in Bulgaria are Quarantined due to the COVID-19

After Plovdiv, there are already isolated patients in Sofia, Sliven, Burgas, Haskovo. Among them are many students.

The woman from Plovdiv who was suspected of being infected tested negative. But in the meantime, three others were admitted for surveillance at an infectious clinic in the city. A whole class of 20 students and their teachers were quarantined just in case.
