Three Turkish labor unions, which represent more than 130,000 workers in the automotive, white goods and iron-steel sectors, have announced a strike, which is set to start on Feb. 2.
Workers Made a Protest Asking for More Decent Pay
The Confederation of Independent Trade Unions of Bulgaria organised a protest for higher incomes of workers. The union has announced they will not support the budget because they want higher salaries in a number of sectors. The leadership of the Podkrepa Labor Code has refused to participate in the protest.

Serbia's Gosa Violating Workers' Rights, ETUC Says
The European Trade Unions Confederation, ETUC, in its September statement marking the World Day of Decent Work, has condemned the Serbian railway carriage manufacturer Gosa for not paying its workers their wages, breaking the collective contract and refusing to negotiate with unions.

Unions announce strikes as House prepares to vote on social security bill
Greece's public sector umbrella union ADEDY on Thursday called a 48-hour strike for Friday and Saturday, to protest the government's social security reform plans, following an announcement that the legislation was expected to be debated in Parliament on Saturday before being put to the vote late on Sunday.
Trade unions choose not to organize protests on Labor Day
Trade unions decided not to organize protest rallies on May 1, Labor Day in Serbia, due to the fact the holiday coincided with this year's Orthodox Easter.
