Supermarket executives expect the continuation of a decline in sales volume in the first half of 2024, reflecting the impact of price increases on demand, the Research Institute for Retail Consumer Goods (IELKA) said in a survey released on Tuesday.

3,350 houses sold to foreigners in Türkiye in February
House sales to foreigners in Türkiye decreased by 27.0 percent in February compared to the same month last year, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced on March 15.
A total of 3,350 houses were sold to foreigners last month, accounting for 4.2 percent of the country's total house sales of 80,031.
Home sales leaped 108 percent in May
Home sales rose by 107.5 percent in May from the same month of 2021, while house purchases by foreigners in Turkey increased by 236 percent, data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) showed.
A total of 122,768 houses were sold last month compared to 59,166 units that changed hands in May 2021 and 50,936 in the same month of 2020.
