FRANKFURT - George Soros wants to invest in Europe’s financial sector, according to a German magazine’s interview with the billionaire investor on Sunday.

Dixons Retail Plc, the largest UK consumer-electronics retailer and owner of Greece’s Kotsovolos chain, said on Monday it is in talks to merge with Carphone Warehouse Group Plc, bringing together companies with combined revenue of about 12 billion pounds ($20 billion).

In the first month of 2014 even 42,771 jobless people have registered them with the National Employment Service. That is almost 2,000 people more than in December last year.
