Turkish-made training airplane Hürku? breaks speed record
A Turkish-made basic training aircraft called the Hürku?, which was designed and manufactured by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), set a record high speed of 659 kilometers per hour on Feb. 28 in a test flight in Ankara.
The two-seat Hürku? began a dive from 27,000 feet (9,000 meters) at the test site, reaching a top speed of 659 km per hour during the dive.
Last section of third bridge on Bosphorus to be mounted on March 4
The last section of the third bridge over the Bosphorus will be installed on March 4, officials from the company constructing the link have announced.
Some 58 of the total 59 steel sections have been mounted so far, with the last nine-meter-long deck set to be installed on March 4 with a ceremony, according to company sources.

Third bridge over Bosphorus sees small delay
The third bridge over Istanbul's Bosphorus Strait will be operational by June or July this year, a few months later than the scheduled opening date, due to the ongoing construction of connecting roads, Transport Minister Binali Y?ld?r?m has said.

Qatar to hike petrol prices by 30 percent
Energy-rich Qatar has decided to raise the cost of petrol by a third or more from Jan. 15, according to the state fuel company, amid a slump in global oil prices.
The surprise hike comes into force from midnight and has immediately led to queues at some petrol stations in Qatar, according to social media.
