Byzantine mosaics set to return to former glory
Byzantine-era mosaics unearthed in the ancient city of Stratonikeia will be open to visitors after the completion of restoration work, according to scholars in southwestern TurkeyMosaics dating back 1,600 years will soon provide another reason to visit the ancient city of Stratonikeia, one of the largest marble cities in antiquity.

Taking pictures of the Holy Lands
The Byzantine and Christian Museum will host an exhibition of 40 photographs taken between 2013 and 2015 by Israeli photographer Dafna Tal from December 8 until January 21.
The photographs reflect the heritage of the Orthodox Church in the Holy Lands and are the result of close collaboration with the Greek and Russian Orthodox Churches.

Four arrested in bootleg alcohol raid in Antalya
Four people were arrested by a local court in Turkey's southern province of Antalya on Nov. 8 for ties to the production and sale of bootleg alcohol.
An Antalya court ruled the arrest of four suspects, identified only with their initials M.A, ?.Ç, ?.Y. and M.M., who were among six suspects detained in the city after 560 bottles of bootleg alcohol were seized in an operation.
