Scientist develops wearable ultrasound scanner

A new ultrasound device that can identify breast cancer at the earliest stages of the disease has been developed by a Turkish scientist and her colleagues in the U.S.

Canan Dağdeviren, a Turkish scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), has designed a bra-mounted ultrasound scanner that can detect breast cancer in the early stages.

Lawyer refuses to defend burglars

A lawyer has refused to defend a client after she learned that the suspect and his partners in crime stole items from the Turkish Red Crescent's warehouse.

Last week, burglars broke into the Red Crescent's logistics center in the southern province of Hatay's Antakya district. The center is used to store aid materials to be distributed to those in need.

According to the temporary initial results, Aydan Özoğuz, Metin Hakverdi, Mahmut Özdemir, Cansel Kızıltepe, Gülistan Yüksel and Elvan Korkmaz were elected on the ranks of the Social Democrats (SPD).
