Police make drug arrests on Rhodes and Crete

A police officer was among five suspects arrested on the southeastern Aegean island of Rhodes on drugs-related charges last weekend, authorities said on Tuesday.
According to police, the arrests were made during raids on the suspects' homes on Sunday which yielded around 400 grams of cannabis and nine marijuana plants.

Cannabis, pills being sold on university campus

Seven people were arrested on the campus of the Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, on Tuesday on drug dealing charges.

The suspects are six Greeks aged between 21 and 49, and a 26-year-old foreign national.

They were all found in possession of cannabis and narcotic pills that they intended to sell, police said.

Police arrest suspect in cannabis plantation raid

Officers of Attica Security's Anti-Drugs Squad on Monday arrested one man in connection to a cannabis plantation discovered in a forested area near the village of Inoi, in West Attica.
The 50-year-old suspect is believed to be responsible for the organization, cultivation and supervision of the plantation.

Six arrests on drug charges in Thessaloniki

Police in Thessaloniki said Tuesday that they had arrested six foreign nationals for drug possession and dealing inside and around the city's Aristotle University.

The six suspects - who are from Algeria, Iraq, Syria and Albania - were arrested as part of ongoing efforts by police in the northern port city to curb lawlessness in and around university campuses.
