Capital punishment in Singapore

Police announced on Thursday the arrest of six individuals in connection with the armed robbery of a cash delivery van in the port town of Lavrio, southeastern Attica, last September.

Among those arrested were two employees of the company responsible for transporting the money, including the van's driver. The total amount stolen was approximately 1.1 million euros.

Eleven of 17 defendants accused of raping a 12-year-old girl and paying for having illegal sex with her were found guilty by an Athens court on Thursday.

The verdict concerns the second batch of suspects in the 2022 case of an Athens girl who was pimped out by her mother's employer over a period of roughly four months, when she was 12 years old. 

In the Sliven village of Sotirya, a man with a history of mental illness has been detained after killing his father and severely injuring his mother in their home. The circumstances leading to the violent incident remain unclear.

A nurse has been sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment over the fatal beating of a 21-year-old patient who lived in a facility for young people with disabilities in eastern Thessaloniki.

The young man died in hospital November 2021 after being beaten in the home.

Police in Patras have arrested a 15-year-old boy on charges of attempted murder.

According to police, the boy, who is a non-national, threatened his 17-year-old roommate in a facility for migrants and attacked him with a knife on Wednesday night.

His victim was left with wounds on the left-hand side of his body.

A 55-year-old taxi driver has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a transgender woman.

Police on Corfu are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 68-year-old man, who was found dead in his bedroom by his wife.

Officers rushed to the scene after receiving an emergency call from the victim's 11-year-old daughter.

A forensic examiner is also at the scene.

German police have arrested a 32-suspect wanted in connection with the shooting that occurred in August at a beach bar in the Haniotis area of Halkidiki, in northern Greece.

The man is suspected of playing a leading role in the incident.

Two men are to be tried by a mixed jury court in Edessa, northern Greece, for the murder of a 41-year-old pregnant woman, whose body was discovered in a trunk in a forest on the border of the prefectures of Thessaloniki and Halkidiki in January.

A 43-year-old woman who allegedly confessed to stabbing her brother to death after quarrelling over a glass of water was charged on Saturday with intensional manslaughter, causing dangerous bodily harm, and illegal carrying and use of a weapon.
