Ljubljana – Caritas Slovenia has so far raised more than EUR 3 million in aid for Ukraine in what is the biggest humanitarian campaign dedicated to a foreign country in Slovenia’s history. The organisation, which has so far sent 20 shipments totalling 283 tonnes of aid to the war-stricken country, notes that the situation there calls for more and more help.

Ljubljana – Slovenian Caritas has raised nearly EUR 41,000 in aid for the earthquake-stricken Haiti since the start of November in a campaign as part of a three-year strategic humanitarian partnership with the Slovenian Foreign Ministry, the Catholic charity said in a release on Tuesday.

Pope Francis has offered 100,000 euros to the Greek branch of the Catholic humanitarian organisation Caritas to support its work with refugees and migrants on the islands.
The amount was delivered to Caritas Hellas by the Papal Αlmoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, who visited the state reception facility for migrants near the village of Moria in Lesvos.

BELGRADE - Caritas, the humanitarian organization of the Catholic Church, has provided over EUR 2 million worth of aid to the victims of May floods in Serbia, the Archdiocese of Belgrade announced at a press conference on Thursday, adding that the support will continue in the coming year.

SABAC - Austria's Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz, who is paying an official visit to Serbia on Wednesday, toured flooded households in Sabac, and underlined that it is good to see that funds and donations from Austria are well used.

BELGRADE - The Roman Catholic church is showing solidarity with all those who have been afflicted by the massive floods in any way, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Belgrade Stanislav Hocevar has said, adding that Caritas, a Roman Catholic charity organisation, has so far distributed food worth more than EUR 20,000.
