Caritas Slovenia raised over EUR 3m for Ukraine so far

Ljubljana – Caritas Slovenia has so far raised more than EUR 3 million in aid for Ukraine in what is the biggest humanitarian campaign dedicated to a foreign country in Slovenia’s history. The organisation, which has so far sent 20 shipments totalling 283 tonnes of aid to the war-stricken country, notes that the situation there calls for more and more help.

Foreign Ministry allots EUR 120,000 for Madagascar poor through Caritas

Ljubljana – Pedro Opeka, the Slovenian missionary in Madagascar, has received EUR 120,000 in humanitarian aid for the country’s poorest people under a strategic partnership signed between the Foreign Ministry and the Slovenian chapter the Catholic charity Caritas.

Pope Francis' charity offers 100,000 euros for migrants

Pope Francis has offered 100,000 euros to the Greek branch of the Catholic humanitarian organisation Caritas to support its work with refugees and migrants on the islands.
The amount was delivered to Caritas Hellas by the Papal Αlmoner, Cardinal Konrad Krajewski, who visited the state reception facility for migrants near the village of Moria in Lesvos.

Caritas Hellas Exhibition | Athens | To March 16

Caritas Hellas has put together an exhibition of photographs taken by 28 asylum seekers aged 16 to 41 who participated in a photography workshop organized by the Catholic Church charity. "Athens: My City," is on display at the Metapolis Gallery and visiting hours are Tuesdays to Fridays from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
