Istanbul Jazz Festival announces line-up
The 31st Istanbul Jazz Festival will host more than 200 local and international artists with some 40 concerts in 16 days from July 3 to 18.
Esma Sultan Mansion, Sultan Park - Swissôtel The Bosphorus, Rahmi M. Koç Museum, Palais de France, and Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theater will be the festival venues this year.

Disabled mayor crosses Bosphorus for 3rd time

Violinist Kristóf Baráti at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu stage
Shown as one of the most talented violinists of his generation, Kristóf Baráti will give a concert on July 14 at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open Air Stage. The world-famous violinist will be accompanied by the Cemal Reşit Rey (CRR) Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Murat Cem Orhan.

Turkish swimmers clinch top spots in Bosphorus cross-continent race
Turkish swimmers Polat Uzer Turnalı and Nida Eliz Üstündağ were the winners of the 33rd Samsung Bosphorus Cross-Continental Swimming Race in Istanbul on Aug. 22.

The unique open water swimming race is organized by the Turkish Olympic Committee between the Turkish metropolis' European and Asian parts since 1989.
Istanbul Night Flight concerts to kick off in August
The Turkish metropolis Istanbul and Mediterranean resort city Antalya will host several concerts from August to November, organizers announced on June 28.
The concert series Turkcell Platinum Istanbul Night Flight will begin with the 60-person Night Flight Symphony Orchestra's Star Wars Cinema Symphony performance on Aug. 21, said organizer Events Across Turkey in a statement.
Istanbul Jazz Festival to feature over 300 artists
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) for the 27th time this year, the "Istanbul Jazz Festival" will meet music enthusiasts between June 27 and July 14.
The festival, which will host over 300 local and foreign artists, will be held in 27 different venues of Istanbul.
