BELGRADE - The European Union's 28 member states accepted Bosnia and Herzegovina's membership application and ordered the Commission to prepare an assessment of the Balkan country's readiness to join the bloc, euractiv.com reports.

Vucic told Serbs in Bosnia "feel alone, fear outvoting"
Aleksandar Vucic on Tuesday in Belgrade received Mladen Ivanic, the Serb member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Ivanic briefed the head of Serbia's caretaker government, who has been given the mandate to put together a new cabinet, about "the recent deterioration of the political situation and inter-ethnic relations in Bosnia-Herzegovina."
PM in Mostar, meeting with Bosnian presidency members
Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic started on Tuesday his visit to Mostar in Bosnia-Herzegovina with a meeting with Mladen Ivanic.
Ivanic is the Serb member of the tripartite Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina.

This is what his press service announced on Friday, adding that Nikolic made this decision during a telephone conversation with member of the Presidency of Bosnia-and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegovic.

Serbian president should visit Bosnia in March
Bakir Izetbegovic said on Thursday that Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic should visit Bosnia-Herzegovina next month.
Izetbegovic, the Bosniak (Muslim) member of the country's tripartite presidency, spoke for N1 in an interview that will be broadcast this evening.

Bosnia formally applies to become EU candidate
Bosnia-Herzegovina has submitted its application to be granted the status of candidate for EU membership.
Bosnian Presidency Chairman Dragan Covic filed the application in Brussels on Monday.

Bosnian Police Arrest Tycoon-Politician Radoncic
Police from the Bosnian State Investigation and Protection Agency on Monday arrested Radoncic, a tycoon who leads the Alliance for a Better Future of Bosnia and Herzegovina, SBBBiH party.
According to a statement from the Bosnian prosecution, Radoncic was arrested in Sarajevo for allegedly "interfering with the work of the judiciary".
