The state court confirmed the indictment of Borislav Paravac, a Serb former member of Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, for taking part a wartime attack that killed several hundred Bosniaks and Croats.

Friday's appointment of Sebija Izetbegovic, wife of the Bosniak member of the Bosnian Presidency, as director of the University Clinical Center of Sarajevo, UKCS, an important medical institute, has caused controversy in Bosnia.

Sebija, who has been director of the Abdulah Nakash hospital in Sarajevo since 2013, was elected at a session of the board of the UKCS on January 6.

Borislav Paravac, a Serb former member of Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, was charged with taking part an attack that killed several hundred Bosniaks and Croatians in Doboj and Teslic in 1992 and 1993.

Relations with Serbia are improving, while Bosnia-Herzegovina will not recognize Kosovo in the foreseeable future, Bakir Izetbegovic has said.

Izetbegovic, the leader of the SDA party and the Bosniak (Muslim) member of the country's tripartite presidency, made these statements for Turkey's Anadolu news agency.

The Croat and Bosniak members of the Bosnian Presidency Dragan Covic and Bakir Izetbegovic met yesterday with the Turkish President Recep Tayyp Erdogan in the first of a two days visit to Ankara and Istanbul.

Bosnian Presidency member Bakir Izetbegovic has invited Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic to pay an official visit to Sarajevo in March next year.

The the presidential press office announced this in a statement on Thursday, Tanjug reported.

Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday laid flowers and paid respects to the Srebrenica victims at the memorial center Potocari in Srebrenica.

Vucic led a Serbian delegation that paid respect to the victims, along with Srebrenica Mayor Camil Durakovic, Bosnian Presidency member Bakir Izetbegovic and chair of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic.

A key opposition party, Union for better future, SBB, will fully support the government of Bosnia's Federation entity and its reform agenda, party leader and media mogul Fahrudin Radoncic said.

Bakir Izetbegovic has said that Serbian PM Aleksanda Vucic's initiative to establish a joint day of remembrance is "premature and incomplete."

Milorad Dodik's "destructive and confrontational policy is the Federation's key problem, that is transferred to Bosnia and the region," says Bakir Izetbegovic.

This Bosniak (Muslim) member of the country's tripartite presidency was referring to the Muslim-Croat Federation (FBiH) entity of Bosnia. Dodik is the president of the Serb entity, the RS.
