EU agrees on 50 billion-euro aid package to Ukraine
The leaders of the 27 European Union countries sealed a deal on Feb. 1 to provide Ukraine with a new 50-billion-euro ($54 billion) support package despite Hungary's weeks of threats to veto the move.
European Council President Charles Michel announced the agreement about only an hour into the leaders' summit in Brussels.

PM Golob to visit Brussels next week
Ljubljana – Prime Minister Robert Golob will travel to Brussels next week to meet European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel, his office told the STA on Tuesday. This will be his first visit to EU institutions following his government taking office last Wednesday.

First trip to Brussels
Schallenberg will hold talks with the EU leadership in Brussels today.
With this visit, he wants to show that he is a "convinced European" and that he has a pro-European attitude.

EU leaders will hold a teleconference about the eastern Mediterranean on February 26, a spokesman for European Council President Charles Michel said on Wednesday.
Leaders will also discuss defence and security.
The meeting will be held at 10 a.m.
