Three illegal migrants were detained yesterday as border police officers inspected a truck on the Kapitan Petko Voyvoda checkpoint, the Ministry of Interior said. The truck, Polish registration, arrived on the checkpoint in the direction of Bulgaria, driven by a 38-year-old Polish.

As of 6.00 am, there is considerable truck traffic on Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint, at exit from the country, Border Police said. On the other Bulgarian borders, there is normal traffic on all crossings.

A 45-year-old Serbian citizen has attempted to cross 10,345 kg of heroin across Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint. The value of the captured quantity of drugs is 931 050 leva. On Monday, at Kapitan Andreevo Border Checkpoint, around 5.30 hours, from Turkey to Bulgaria entered a Peugeot brand, run by the foreigner. The vehicle was diverted for a thorough customs check.

Тhe government took a decision to open the Krushari border checkpoint on the border with Romania, part of the bilateral agreement of 2012 for two new border checkpoints, the government press office said. The other checkpoint, Kaynardzha, has been opened with a government decision of September 29, 2017.

Sofia. There is considerable traffic of trucks to Turkey on the checkpoint at Kapitan Andreevo, according to Border Police data as of 8.00 am. On the borders with Macedonia, Serbia, Greece and Romania, there is normal traffic on all checkpoints.

Shortly after 9 am today a technical problem has caused  hindrance of the work of the border checkpoints and of the Traffic Police sectors in the capital and in the country, the Ministry of Interior announced. And they added that they are working to solve the problem.

A 4-kilometer traffic jam of trucks was formed because of the same problem yesterday at the Kulata border checkpoint.
