Undersea graveyard for CO2 opens in Denmark
Denmark inaugurated yesterday a project to store carbon dioxide 1,800 meters beneath the North Sea, the first country in the world to bury CO2 imported from abroad.
The CO2 graveyard, where the carbon is injected to prevent further warming of the atmosphere, is on the site of an old oil field.

In November 2022, compared to the previous month, a large increase in the production of energy products was observed in Bulgaria - by 31.1%, and the largest decrease was registered in unleaded gasoline - by 13.0%.
Shipping still in dark over clean fuel solutions
Shipping companies are still waiting for "real green" fuel solutions as part of decarbonization efforts to clean up the industry, a leading industry official said.
Shipping, which transports around 90% of world trade and accounts for nearly 3% of the world's CO2 emissions, is under growing pressure from environmentalists to deliver more concrete action, including a carbon levy.

Bulgaria has the Cheapest Fuel on the Balkans
Many Greeks, but also Serbs and Romanians living near the Bulgarian border, refuel in Bulgaria, as it is cheaper here. The price of the most common fuels in the neighboring countries is more expensive by between 10 cents and over 1 BGN per liter.

Gas consumption drops in Greece in December
Natural gas consumption decreased in December in Greece, falling to 5.05 terawatt-hours, or the second lowest level for the corresponding month in the last six years, after December 2019.
At the same time, consumption for the entire year reached 56.5 TWh, reduced by 19.2% compared to 2021.

Bulgaria signs deal to use Türkiye's gas terminals
Bulgaria on Jan. 3 gained access to Türkiye's terminals and gas transmission network under a long-term deal that will help the country replace supplies once provided by Russia.
Bulgaria's state gas company Bulgargaz and the Turkish gas transmission company Botas signed a 13-year deal that grants the Balkan neighbor access to Türkiye's terminals for liquefied natural gas.
