Athens-listed construction firm J&P Avax has landed a 125-million-euro project in Malta. The project comprises the study, construction and operation of an installation for the import of liquefied natural gas (LNG), its storage and gasification on the Mediterranean island.

December consumer prices down 0.4 percent on month
BELGRADE - Serbia saw a month-on-month decrease of 0.4 percent in retail prices of goods and services used for personal consumption in December, the national stats office stated on Monday.
When compared to December 2013, the consumer prices rose 1.7 percent, registering the average annual growth of 2.9 percent.

Ferry passenger arrested with 730 grams of heroin at Iraklio
A 33-year-old man was arrested as he stepped off a ferry from Piraeus to Iraklio, Crete, on Friday as he was found to be in possession of 730 grams of heroin.
Officers from the local drug squad made the arrest.
The suspect, who was not named, also had 20 grams of cocaine on him.

Customs Agency Discovers Illegal Gas Station in Downtown Sofia
Bulgaria's Customs Agency discovered an illegal gas station in downtown Sofia on Friday, the Agency said in a statement.
The two underground tanks contained 4 tonnes of diesel fuel without any documents. An illegal gas pump was connected to the tanks.
The fuel was confiscated and samples have been sent for laboratory analysis.
