Chinese Company Secures USD 135.5 Million for Bulgarian Port Project
China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) has signed a US5.5m Bulgaria port project construction contract with Logistic Center Varna EAD to jointly develop port infrastructure in Bulgaria's Port of Varna, reports Port Strategy.
Pitsiorlas disputes PPC-CMEC deal
Shortly after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras's return from China, Deputy Economy Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas disputed the agreement between Public Power Corporation and China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) for the construction of a lignite-powered unit at Meliti, near Florina in western Macedonia.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has arrived in China for a state visit.
He will attend a military parade marking the 70th anniversary of victory over fascism in Beijing on September 3, the president's office said on Sunday.
Nikolic: Chinese investments mean direct assistance
President Tomislav Nikolic met on Thursday with a delegation of the China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) company headed by Zhang Chun.
During the meeting, he said that "Chinese investments come as a direct assistance to Serbia."
