A strong earthquake measuring 5.2 had hit on April 13

The death toll of yesterday's 6.3 magnitude earthquake in the Southern Philippines, has increased to five people and dozens have been injured, authorities said.

The quake shook North Cotabato and neighbouring provinces and caused landslides and a fire at the mall.

Two 2 and 7 year old girls and a mother with a child were killed and one man suffered a heart attack.

More than 2,000 claims for damages were lodged with Greek insurance companies following the 5.1-magnitude earthquake that struck the capital on July 19, according to the country's union of insurance firms. 

Of those claims, around 1,700 concerned homes and the remainder businesses, the union said. 

New Zealand on March 22 reassured Muslims living in the country they would be "safe and secure" despite the deadly attacks on two mosques in Christchurch.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck central New Zealand just after midnight, the U.S. Geological Survey said, causing widespread damage and generating a tsunami. 

Nepal's government has said that a new powerful earthquake that hit the country on Tuesday has left at least 19 people dead.

A spokesperson for the Home Ministry at the Nepalese government has added the death toll is expected to rise.
