Extra state funding for buses and coaches

An extra budget of 18.3 million euros for Greece's urban buses and intercity coaches (KTEL) was announced by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Christos Staikouras on Friday.

This sizable subsidy also concerns local coach operators in the country's remote regions, he added, speaking at the 29th KTEL annual convention in the city of Lamia, central Greece.

Banking forum at King George Hotel Tuesday

FinForum 2023, the conference to examine developments in the Greek and international banking sector, is to be held this Tuesday at the King George Hotel, Syntagma Square, Athens, with the participation of representatives from Fitch Ratings and Standard & Poor's.

Speakers will include Infrastructure Minister Christos Staikouras and Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras.

Greece signs MoC with Egypt

A memorandum of cooperation was signed in Athens on Monday by Greek Finance Minister Christos Staikouras and his Egyptian counterpart Dr Mohamed Maait.

The MoC will further develop and strengthen bilateral economic relations, aiming for optimal coordination for the management of issues of mutual interest.
