Spanish film director Mario Camus dies aged 86
Spanish director Mario Camus, whose film about the aftermath of Spain's 1936-39 civil war won the top award at the Berlin film festival, died on Sept. 18. He was 86.
"Filmmaker Mario Camus passed away in Santander," Spain's Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said in a posting on social media.

Penelope Cruz wins best actress in Venice
Penelope Cruz took home the best actress award at the Venice Film Festival, the latest success for the all-conquering queen of Spanish cinema.
Cruz won for her starring role in "Parallel Mothers", her latest collaboration with legendary Spanish director Pedro Almodovar.

Carlos Saura to receive Belgrade Victor, Golden Seal awards
BELGRADE - Revered Spanish director Carlos Saura will receive a Golden Seal award at the Yugoslav Film Archive on Saturday for an outstanding contribution to the world cinema.
Saura will be presented with the award after the screening of the movie "J, de Saura".
