Kaplanoğlu’s film to represent Turkey at Cannes
Director Semih Kaplanoğlu's film "Bağlılık Hasan" (Commitment Hasan) will represent Turkey at the 74th Cannes Film Festival.
In a statement, Kaplanoğlu said that the film industry around the world has been interrupted for a while due to the pandemic measures.

Beloved Turkish actor Rasim Öztekin dies at 62
Rasim Öztekin, a beloved Turkish television, theater and movie actor, passed away on March 8 at the age of 62.
Öztekin died at an Istanbul hospital following a heart attack on March 7, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Twitter.
"He was a family member in every home with a television," Koca said.

The exhibition and arrangement work in the building has come to an end with the completion of the renovations, according to the daily Hürriyet.
Int'l Migration Film Festival kicks off
Turkey's International Migration Film Festival is set to begin in the southeastern Gaziantep province June 14 night.
The opening ceremony of the festival will be held in a real-time 3D virtual studio with images of the historic Mecidiye Han cultural center.
The festival will be online-only due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Int'l Migration Film Festival announces jury
Turkey's International Migration Film Festival on June 9 announced jury members for its feature films category.
In a statement, the organizers said the international jury board of the contest will host seven members, with Turkey's celebrated filmmaker Nuri Bilge Ceylan presiding over the jury.
