Real estate investment volume parks at 120.9 million euros in Q1 2020 (CBRE Research)

The volume of real estate investment was 120.9 million euros in the first quarter of 2020, of which 85% were purchased from offices and industrial spaces, CBRE Research data show, according to a release sent on Thursday AGERPRES. On the market of office space in Bucharest, in the first quarter of 2020, a total area of about 55,000 sqm was traded, less by 50 pct than the same period of 2019.

Drug dealing couple netted in Athens

A man from Guinea and a woman from Moldova were arrested in Argyroupoli in southern Athens on Monday, accused of drug possession and trafficking.

Syntagma Square ‘bomb’ turns out to be old machine part

Police have lifted a cordon at downtown Athens' Syntagma Square after a chunk of metal initially believed to be an old mortar shell was identified as a machine part.

The bomb scare near the country's Parliament was sounded earlier on Tuesday after workers conducting maintenance on a water line on the corner of Nikis and Ermou streets struck metal.

WWII bomb found at Syntagma Square

Bomb disposal experts shut down and evacuated a part of Syntagma Square in downtown Athens on Tuesday in order to safely remove a World War II bomb.

The bomb was discovered on the corner of Nikis and Ermou streets - across the square from Parliament - by workers with the Athens Water and Sewerage company who were digging in the area.
