GERB Leader Boyko Borisov Fears New Early Elections, Ready For Offers From Other Parties

Boyko Borisov, leader of the centre-right party GERB, which gets the most votes at Bulgaria's early elections, said he was afraid the country might face another early elections and added he was ready for offers from the other parliamentary represented parties.

Eight Parties, Coalitions to Enter Bulgaria Parliament – Sova Harris Exit Poll

A total of eight parties and coalitions have won enough votes in Sunday's snap general elections to enter Bulgaria's next Parliament, an exit poll showed. 

According to the survey conducted by Sova Harris polling agency, centre-right GERB party led by former Prime Minister Boyko Borisov has won 33.6% of the vote.

Election results have taught the BSP not to backtrack on a number of issues, MEP and key party member Iliana Iotova has said.

She has described Sunday's vote as a massive "nationalist backlash".

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) is trailing far behind conservative GERB, according to most exit polls just minutes after first exit poll results were made public.

GERB Would Seek Broad Centre-Right Coalition – Member Of Party's Executive Committee

"GERB remains the most influential Bulgarian party," said Rumyana Bachvarova, member of the executive committee of GERB, commenting on the exit poll results of the early elections for the Bulgarian National Television.

"Our responsibility is great and we will seek, if we must, a broader coalition for a centre-right government." 

GERB Wins Most Votes in Bulgaria Snap Election, Seven Parties to Enter Parliament - Exit Poll

Center-right GERB party has won most votes in Bulgaria's early parliamеntary elections on Sunday but fell short of an overall majority.

According to an exit poll conducted by Alpha Research, a total of seven parties have passed the four-percent threshold to enter Bulgaria's 43rd National Assembly.
