Plenty of rainfall turns drought map ‘green’
Precipitation increased by 254 percent in April compared to 2022 and by 51 percent in the last 50 years, with most parts of the country experiencing humid weather rather than drought for the first time in a while, according to a report by the Turkish State Meteorological Service.

Slovenian team deployed in flood relief effort in Italy
Slovenia has deployed a civil protection and disaster relief unit to the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna to help in the relief effort in the wake of devastating flooding that has claimed 14 lives.
Setting off from Ajdoviščina in the west of the country on 22 May, the 32-member team is equipped with two high-capacity pumps and will be in charge of flood control pumping.

Second Day of Bomb Threats in Schools across Bulgaria
New bomb threats were received today in dozens of schools in Bulgaria, reported the Ministry of the Interior reported.
Reports of planted explosive devices have been received in several Sofia schools, 24 educational institutions in Varna and in all schools in Sliven.
