Queen Elizabeth: The one and only time she visited Greece
Although she was a well-travelled queen, having visited over 100 countries in the world, Elizabeth never visited Greece - at least not as queen.
The only time she was in Athens was in 1950, when she was still a princess, that is, two years before she ascended the throne of the United Kingdom.

PM inaugurates new wheelchair lift for Acropolis Hill

New security system mulled for Acropolis Hill

Population in Greece - 10.7 Million People
In 2019, 86 440 babies were born in Greece and 119 446 people died, which is why the population of our southern neighbour decreased by 33 006 and numbered 10 724 599, according to ANA-MPA.

Theory suggests Parthenon is known by wrong name
The 5th century BC Parthenon temple on the Athens Acropolis may be known by the wrong name, according to a study by a Dutch archaeologist published in the American Journal of Archaeology and the Dutch edition of National Geographic.
