Obama gets crash course in Greek mythology
US President Barack Obama received a crash course in Greek mythology and antiquity at the Acropolis Museum in Athens.
Obama toured the museum after descending from the hilltop complex where he had lingered at the base of the Parthenon and glanced around at the panoramic view of Athens.

Golden Dawn trial resumes
The trial of Golden Dawn leadership and members resumes Monday in Athens after a summer recess with more testimonies of witnesses to the murder of anti-fascist rapper Pavlos Fyssas.
Fyssas was stabbed to death to murder by Golden Dawn member Giorgos Roupakias in a suburb of Piraeus in September 2013.

Decision banning nighttime access to Athens hills overturned
Nighttime visits to three hills in central Athens ? Pnyx, the Hill of the Nymphs and the Hill of the Muses ? are to be permitted following a ruling by the fifth section of the Council of State which overturns a 2008 decision by then Culture Minister Michalis Liapis.
Vandalism at Athenian Long Walls
Football supporters defaced the ancient Athenian Long Walls with graffiti. The walls, originally erected in the 5th century BC, were destroyed by Sparta in 403 BC and were rebuilt with the help of the Persians during the Corinthian War.
