Another exploratory well in Black Sea can be drilled this year: Minister

Turkey's electricity consumption increased by 27.1 percent in April, compared to the same month of 2020, according to the latest data released by Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Ministry.
Turkey's electricity import bill down 83 pct in first quarter
Turkey's electricity import bill in the first quarter of 2021 decreased by nearly 83 percent compared to the same period of 2020, according to Turkey's Statistical Institute (TÜİK) data released on April 30.
The data shows that Turkey paid nearly $3.37 million for electricity imports in the first quarter of the year, compared to $19.58 million in the January-March period of 2020.
Turkey's energy import bill down 12.2 pct in February 2021
Turkey's energy import bill decreased by 12.2 percent to $2.75 billion in February this year compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on March 31.
The overall energy import bill fell last month with an increase in the country's domestic and renewable energy production.

Turkey's total oil imports decreased by 24.7 percent to 2.65 million tonnes in January compared to the same month of 2020, according to data of Turkey's energy watchdog on March 28.

Power output from wind hits 10.7 percent
Wind's share in Turkey's monthly electricity generation passed 10 percent threshold for the first time in January, the energy and natural resources minister said on Feb. 23.
"The wind blows with records in 2021," Fatih Dönmez said in a tweet.
Power generation through wind turbines rose to more than 10 percent for the first time in Turkey's history, he added.
