House approves production of pharmaceutical cannabis
Parliament on Thursday approved legislation allowing the manufacture of cannabis for medicinal purposes.
The new legislation sets out the rules governing the cultivation and production of the particular types of the plant that are used for pharmaceutical purposes, as well as the operation of manufacturing units.

Prof. Kantardzhiev: Currently, at Least 120,000 People in Bulgaria have the Flu
After the peak of the flu, 120,000 people are currently ill and at least 100 of them have severe respiratory failure. This was stated in Nova TV by Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev from the Center for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases in "Health Bulgaria".
Draft bill lays down rules for medical cannabis producers
A draft bill laying the ground rules governing cannabis production in Greece was submitted to Parliament on Wednesday.
The bill, a document prepared jointly by officials at the Health, Economy, Agriculture and Justice ministries, seeks to end the country's reliance on foreign imports of medical cannabis.
Flu claims five lives in last two weeks
Five people have died of complications related to the flu in the past two weeks, data from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KEELPNO) showed on Thursday, suggesting that the flu season is getting under way.
None had received a flu vaccination, KEELPNO said.
Last year's flu season started in mid-December and was particularly harsh, claiming 108 lives.

Backpackers critically ill after Australia mass drug overdose
