Police on Monday were examining footage from security cameras in a bid to identify the perpetrators of Sunday's paint attack on the premises of the Foreign Ministry for which the anarchist group Rouvikonas claimed responsibility.

Nineteen people have been killed in an explosion at a chemical plant in the southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan, local authorities said.

The explosion happened at 6.30pm on Thursday in an industrial zone in Jiangan county, according to a statement issued by the Sichuan Industry Safety Supervision Administration.

The city authorities have acknowledged that problems with the regime of reconciliation and synchronization of the common system with the area, as well as with the maintenance of the equipment.
