Nineteen People Died in an Explosion at a Factory in China

Nineteen people have been killed in an explosion at a chemical plant in the southwestern Chinese province of Sichuan, local authorities said.

The explosion happened at 6.30pm on Thursday in an industrial zone in Jiangan county, according to a statement issued by the Sichuan Industry Safety Supervision Administration.

Bulgarian Citizen was Shot Dead by the Police in Indonesia

Indonesian police shot a man of Bulgarian nationality allegedly involved in ATM theft schemes, reported local newspaper The Jakarta Post quoted by FOCUS News Agency as saying. The incident happened two weeks after the arrest of two other Bulgarians, along with one Chilean and one Taiwanese citizen in connection with a series of ATM cases.

Two teenage girls arrested for picking pockets at mall

Two girls, aged 14 and 15, have been arrested for pickpocketing shoppers at a mall in the northern Athens suburb of Maroussi, police said on Wednesday.

The two youngsters, who are reportedly from Bulgaria, were nabbed last Friday after police identified them in closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage.

Camera-destroying Frenchman arrested

A 22-year-old French national was arrested shortly after midnight on Monday as he smashed surveillance cameras outside the Culture Ministry building on Bouboulina Street in Athens with a crowbar.

Police said he had already managed to smash two cameras before they reached him and that they found another camera in his possession.

Expansion of the video surveillance system is being implemented in stages, announced by the municipal management of Asenovgrad during a special press conference, reports actualno. 

The city authorities have acknowledged that problems with the regime of reconciliation and synchronization of the common system with the area, as well as with the maintenance of the equipment.
