Experts sound alarm over shisha use among young people
Experts at the Greek Therapy Center for Dependent Individuals (KETHEA) are warning that the shisha drug, which caused the death of a 16-year-old girl in Athens last week, has spread as a recreational narcotic for young people.
Drugs found on local trapper
A well-known trapper, who was arrested Saturday with 122 grams of cocaine and 2,350 euros, was granted conditional release on Monday.
According to state broadcaster ERT, on the night of his arrest, the 27-year-old was with another person at the junction of Alexandras Avenue and Mavromataion Street at Pedion to Areos park in central Athens.

Authorities seize 64kg of cocaine in Piraeus port
Authorities have seized 64 kilograms of cocaine from inside a container at the port of Piraeus.
Acting on a tip off from the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), an anti-drugs unit on Monday searched a container from Ecuador and found 58 makeshift packages containing the cocaine.
The drugs had an estimated market value of 2 million euros, the authorities said.

71-year-old arrested with over 4.5 kilograms of cocaine
A 71-year-old man was arrested in the Drapetsona area near Piraeus after more than 4.5 kilograms of cocaine were found in his possession.
According to the police, officers from the Patra Narcotics Division located the suspect at his residence based on gathered intelligence.

Bulgarian Authorities cracked down on a criminal group of Africans selling Drugs in Sunny Beach
An organized criminal group for the distribution of marijuana, ecstasy and cocaine on the territory of Sunny Beach, consisting of six permanent residents of Nigeria and two people from Ghana, has been shut down by the Bulgarian police.
Seven people are in custody with a prosecutor's decree for detention for 72 hours, and one is wanted.
Prison sweep yields drugs and makeshift weapons
A sweep at Athens' high-security Korydallos Prison has turned up 15 grams of cocaine, 9.6 grams of heroin, 50 grams of processed cannabis, a makeshift knife and a metal rod.
Drug enforcement officers, supported by the counterterrorism unit and a police dog, conducted the raid on Friday morning.
