Greek bartenders win Havana Club cocktail competition in Cuba

A Greek mixologist duo has won a €10,000 prize for mixing cocktails in Cuba.

Cuba is famous for its rum cocktails and on Wednesday evening below Havana's iconic Morro Castle, guarding its bay, 400 people gathered to toast its best-known rum, Havana Club, but not with Cuba libres, mojitos and daiquiris in hand.

Jennifer Le Nechet from Café Moderne in Paris has been crowned the world’s best bartender at the climax of the global World Class competition in Miami. After starting the week as one of 56 national winners from around the world, she impressed the judges in the last round which challenged six remaining finalists to create a pop-up bar in 24 hours. She came up with a bar concept inspired by Steam

‘The Clumsies’ bar voted best in Athens (photos)

‘The Clumsies’ Bar in Athens picked up the top prize in the ‘Bar Awards-Shaker Trophy 2016′ held recently at the multi event area of Athinais at Votanikos. ‘The Clumsies’ was awarded the title before all the top bartending names of the city, competing against 68 other top Athens bartenders. The judging panel reached their verdict based on four main criteria:
