Astrophotographer captures rare images of 'Devil's Comet'
An astrophotographer has successfully captured images of the "Devil's Comet," visible only once every 71 years during its orbit around the sun, with his telescope in the western province of Balıkesir.

Once in 50,000-year comet may be visible to the eye
A newly discovered comet could be visible to the naked eye as it shoots past Earth and the Sun in the coming weeks for the first time in 50,000 years, astronomers have said.
The comet is called C/2022 E3 (ZTF) after the Zwicky Transient Facility, which first spotted it passing Jupiter in March last year.

NASA reported a historic success for space science. The agency broke the news that it was the first time in the history of space exploration that an asteroid had been deflected.
This happened after the agency sent a probe named DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) to the asteroid Dimorphos.

Peak Perseid meteor shower to light up the sky tonight
Ljubljana – The Perseid meteor shower will reach its peak tonight with meteors being most visible in areas without artificial lighting between 9pm and midnight or until the Moon overshadows them, the Cosmolab organisation has told the STA.

Meteor shower thrills sky watchers across Anatolia
Stargazers were able to catch a glimpse of one of the biggest and best celestial light shows of the year as the Perseid meteor shower peaked over Turkey on Aug. 12.
Hundreds of shooting stars rained over the sky during one of the brightest astronomical displays.

The Month of the Perseids Begins
From July 17th every year begins the activity of the most intense meteor shower in the summer months. Perseids are expected to offer 1-2 falling stars per minute during their peak between August 10 and August 15.
